HOME SWEET HOME

After being away for two years, I'm finally home!

It really feels great to be back where I first started as a blogger. Leaving BRAVEJOURNAL wasn't easy but I have to make this move because I wanted to see all my friends linked to me and that is something my old blog cannot do since they only allow 25 links for free users. I was almost tempted to pay the fees to become a premium member but then again I realized that I can use that money on other "more" important things and besides blogger is for free so why not grab the chance. There isn't enough free things left in this world so might as well enjoy it. Just don't mind my other entries because I made this blog as my online resource center for the Brokenshire Psychology Society members before I moved back here and decided not to delete them for sentimental reasons. Hehe.

Okay, enough about my "moving" rant, how was your Christmas and New Year celebration? I wasn't able to blog about our Christmas here in Davao because I got busy with a lot of things and commitments. Hubby and I were supposed to spend Christmas in their ancestral home in North Cotabato but Aloha, my classmate in college, invited us to become godparents of her baby so our plan was changed. I volunteered to stay here in Davao to attend the baptism. It was a perfect excuse for me because I really wanted to spend Christmas with my family and cousins in Mintal. It's not that I don't like to spend Christmas with hubby's family but it's more fun with my family. They don't stay up until midnight kasi kaya malungkot not like my family na may countdown talaga until 12:01 am and we exchange gifts. Meron din kaming games for kids and adults kaya sobrang saya. I'll just share our christmas photos on my next post because I still have to ask for a copy from my cousin kasi nalowbat ang digicam ko.

Now let's move on to my next story. Gising pa ba kayo? Hehe. Pasensya na at mahaba talaga ang post na ito. Ang dami kasing nangyari but don't worry I'll let the pictures tell the story para di kayo ma-bore. Last Dec. 29, my sisters together with my cousins went to Isla Reta. It's an hour boat ride from Sta. Ana Wharf. Humabol na lang kami ni Jam the next day because we had commitments that day kaya di kami nakasama. Bingkwak, my lil sister, texted us that the first trip is 6:00am kaya 5:30am pa lang nasa wharf na kami only to find out that the boat will leave around 9:00am so Jam and I decided to take another route to get there earlier. We rode the bus via Babak then PeƱaplata and another habal-habal ride going to Kaputian and from there we rented a small pump boat to take us to Isla Reta. Gosh! Nakakawindang ang byahe namin and we spent a lot of money kasi "pakyawan" style yong mode of transportation nila. But anyway, we just want to reach the island earlier and be with our cousins kaya we didn't mind the effort and the gastos.

Part 2 of our Isla Reta Adventure will be posted tomorrow.

PS: If you can't see your name on the linkies menu, please let me know so I could add you right away. Happy New Year!!!
