And it it simply means "Happy New Year". It was Carol, my student, who taught me how to say it in Mandarin Chinese. My other student also tried his best to "educate" me about CHINESE NEW YEAR by drawing the different animals that represent each year. Here are his drawings:

He's claiming that this is a PIG - perhaps an evil pig.

He spelled my maiden name in Chinese. - Cua or Cai
Legend has it that in the ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal's year would have some of that animal's personality. And oh, my student was laughing so hard with my "brutal" comments on his drawings. Hahaha! We really had a good laugh that night.
And because it's New Year, I have a one week holiday from work! Yeheeey! Some of my students are going home to their hometown to visit their parents and relatives. Finally, I would have some time to catch up with my blogmates, CT duties and scrapping! I missed it sooo much. I'm also planning to convert my Angelic Account to a bloggy platform and need to update my other blogs as well. Whew!
Wish me luck! Hahaha!
