Hobbies aren't cheap — unless, of course, your hobby is something like collecting lint or hunting the streets for fallen pennies, in which case you may want to seek another form of help. But for those with more spectacular hobbies, such as digital photography, the cost of becoming an expert can be daunting. After all, the photo-editing software itself can cost hundreds of dollars, and that doesn't even take the cost of a nice camera into account. Here are a couple ideas to get those funds freed up!
Change Bill Payment Dates
Sometimes the issue isn't having enough money, but having enough money at the right time. It's pretty common for people to have the "hard paycheck" and the "easy paycheck." You can actually talk to most banks, credit card companies or other billing groups and have them change the day that you pay your bill. It just requires that you pay for a prorated amount to cover the days or weeks between your old payment and your new one.
Refinance and Consolidate
It's even better if you can reduce your total monthly bills. Imagine what sort of camera gear and accessories you could nab with a couple hundred dollars free each month! If you're paying on an auto loan, high-interest credit card or some other major payments, see what you can do to refinance. If you want to go the extra mile, consider debt consolidation services to square everything away into an even more bank account-friendly plan.
Make More Money
Okay, yes, obviously making more money isn't as easy as it sounds. If you're into photography, though, consider getting some freelance work to supplement the hobby. You can post a quick classified ad talking about your low rates. After all, you don't need to charge much; you'd be doing this on your own anyway!
