It's Time for my Winter Clothes

Well, it is that time of the year again when I am torn up about the weather. Spring and fall always do this to me because I love the heat of the summer, but I also love the winter sports. I guess that spring and fall are sort of a transition period for me to get me used to the weather changes. When I was younger, I used to hate to see those seasons coming because it meant about two whole months of limbo between the cute clothes of summer and the fun sports of winter.

Now it has changed a little for me because as I have grown older, I have learned to appreciate the beautiful colors of fall and how the air feels crisp on my nose in the morning but warm and soothing on my skin in the afternoon. Now that I have a child, I remember how much fun it was to rake up the leaves into a great big pile and jump into them. Of course, it is not so much fun to rake them up now, and I am also painfully aware of the spiders that lurk in those leaves, but the pleasure on my child's face is worth it all to me.

Another reason I have learned to look forward to fall is that I get to switch my clothes over to the big fluffy sweaters and my comfy jeans. Last year I discovered True Religion jeans and they fit me just right. I was really happy to see that last year's jeans still fit me since we did much more socializing this summer than we normally do, and to be honest I was kind of nervous about how they would fit me this year. Thankfully, they slipped right on. Nevertheless, that does not mean that I won't buy a new pair this year...
