My son has found a new show that he really likes. Actually I am the one who found it. Several of my friends with kids his age had told me that their kids really like to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I had never seen it, so I added it to our DVR that we have with DIRECT TV. After watching the show once, my son was hooked. Each episode includes some sort of mystery to be solved or activity to be accomplished. The characters use different tools throughout the show to figure out the mystery or do the activity. The show is actually pretty entertaining and educational. It reinforces shapes, colors, numbers, and memory techniques. At the end of each episode Mickey and his friends do a “hot dog dance” to celebrate solving the mystery of the day. My son and I always laugh at the goofy dance and usually try to imitate the characters as they do the dance. I would much rather he watch this show than so many of the other cartoons that are not educational.
